Rain and cold were the main features of this year’s Corporate Challenge event in the Auckland Domain, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of over 1000 participants who completed the 5km course on the evening of 21 November. Among them were the 18 members of the Sysmex team, taking part for the second year.

Sysmex’s team coordinator, Caroline Eddy said, “The great thing about this event is that everyone can do it at their own pace, so some people run competitively, while others just enjoy the walk. Even though we had bad luck with the weather this year, we still had a great turn out with around a third of our staff taking part, and everyone completed the course!”

The Corporate Challenge series is organised to promote the health and well-being of employees within businesses and other organisations, and comprises three events, held during November each year, in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Team results are compiled across different industries to encourage friendly competition.
